Support your body—without compromising your abstinence

Becoming Fiercely Free is a part of Lund Wellness Collective, LLC, offering functional nutrition support for people in 12-step recovery for food addiction and compulsive overeating.

Recovery comes first—
but your body still needs to heal.

This is a space to strengthen your health—while staying fully aligned with your abstinence and your program.

You’re in recovery. So why doesn’t your body feel better?

You’re committed to your recovery.

You have structure.
You have abstinence.
You have support.

And still, something may feel off.

Maybe:

  • your energy is low
  • your body feels depleted
  • your weight has plateaued or become unpredictable
  • your hormones feel off
  • your digestion or mood has not improved

Or maybe your body is being asked to do more right now:

  • increased activity
  • training
  • stress
  • healing from past restriction or overfeeding

In recovery, the addiction comes first.
But that does not mean your body’s needs disappear.

Why nutrition still matters in food addiction recovery

Many people in 12-step recovery for food addiction and compulsive overeating follow structured food plans. That structure can be incredibly helpful. But sometimes the body still is not getting what it needs.

A food plan may be:

  • too low in fat or protein
  • too low in overall nourishment
  • mismatched with your metabolism or activity level
  • disconnected from your individual biology

Over time, that can contribute to:

  • nutrient deficiencies
  • increased physical and emotional stress
  • metabolic slowdown
  • hormone disruption
  • relapse cycles

Some people end up feeling overfed but undernourished.
Others feel restricted and depleted.

Recovery gives you structure.
Nutrition helps your body heal inside that structure.

What I do

My role is not to replace your program.
My role is to support your body within it.

Together, we look at how to create a structured, nourishing approach to food that supports:

  • your abstinence
  • your energy and metabolism
  • hormone balance
  • your activity level and lifestyle
  • your health history

It is not about chasing weight loss.

It is about helping your body feel nourished, steady, and more able to function the way it was designed to.

A recovery-aligned approach to healing

This work is about alignment.

It is about:

  • honoring your abstinence
  • supporting your physiology
  • reducing stress on your system
  • creating something sustainable over time

So your recovery is not just something you maintain through willpower.
It becomes something your body can actually live inside more fully.

A nervous system + metabolic approach

Your body responds to:

  • safety
  • consistency
  • adequate nourishment

When those are in place, the system often becomes less reactive.

That can look like:

  • more stable energy
  • more balanced hormones
  • fewer cravings
  • a calmer relationship with food and your body

This is what I call:
creating safety at a cellular level

This work may be for you if…

  • you are in 12-step recovery for food addiction or compulsive overeating
  • you have a food plan but need help supporting a specific health issue
  • you feel low energy, depleted, or physically stressed
  • you have lost your cycle or are navigating hormone changes
  • you are dealing with anemia, thyroid issues, or metabolic concerns
  • you’re ready to increase your activity level or begin training with proper support
  • you want to nourish your body without compromising your abstinence

This may not be the right fit if you are looking for:

  • a specific number on the scale or weight loss at the expense of your health
  • support without honest reflection or consistent follow-through
  • guidance that prioritizes outside opinions over a personalized, science-informed plan

  • individualized nutrition support for food addiction recovery
  • guidance based on your activity level and health goals

What it’s like to work together

“I have never worked with a more grounded, attentive, knowledgeable nutritionist (and I’ve worked with at least five). Generous with her time, her skills, her personal experience, I plan to remain in touch with Karin and her offerings long-term. Anyone who has the chance to be in contact with her will feel the same way. Her spirit is radiant and calm, her communication style direct and respectful. I have concrete instructions from our sessions that I have printed out and still refer to on my kitchen counter. I am inspired by what Karin gave to me and how she gave it. What was most impactful was her confidence in me; even when I was bingeing and couldn’t stop I was treated like a human being worthy of respect. I am indebted to Karin for sharing who she is, what she’s learned, and for modeling for me what I hope my own recovery from food addiction can become. I am free from cravings today and credit Karin as nothing short of an instrument of the Divine in my life.” – KH

“I am so grateful for Karin’s knowledge, guidance and compassion. Her fiercely free journal has loads of info and prompts to support a food addicts recovery journey. It has been a blessing discovering Karin and having her support. She is a wonderful listener and has a lot of knowledge on this topic! Thank you for all you have done for me, Karin!”

“The Becoming Fiercely Free Journal has been a complete game changer for me. After battling food addiction for over 30 years, this journal opened my eyes to how food and lifestyle impact my body, mind, and spirit. It’s helped me discover the beauty of following my body’s natural rhythms to create a healthier, more balanced life.”

Meet Karin

Hi, I’m Karin, and I know what it’s like to wrestle with food addiction. For years, I struggled with compulsive cravings and obsessed over what to eat, how much to eat, and when. While abstinence-based food plans helped, my rigid perfectionism often pushed me to unhealthy extremes and my health suffered.

I discovered that true recovery requires not just structure but also a deep sense of connection and safety—truth and grace. That’s why I offer expert nutrition coaching that complements your recovery journey, helping you heal with compassion and gentleness.

With over 20 years of experience in healthcare and a Master’s in Nutrition and Functional Medicine, I offer personalized support to help individuals break free from food obsession. My holistic approach is personalized, empowering, and rooted and grounded in love.
